
Dr. Mya Win Hnit is a family physician from Myanmar. He is currently serving as the academic director of the Myanmar Academy of Family Physicians, and the global chair of the ASPIRE program of WONCA, while studying for his PhD at the National University of Malaysia.
Dr. Mya graduated with his medical degree from the University of Medicine (1) Yangon and his MSc degree in family medicine from the University of the Philippines Manila.
Due to his professional contributions, Dr. Mya has received international recognitions, namely the Montegut scholarship award from the American Board of Family Medicine Foundation in 2017, the Taiwan Family Medicine Research Award from the Chinese Taipei Family Medicine Association in 2018, and the scholarship for ASEAN researchers from the Department of Science and Technology of the Philippines in 2020.
He is committed to continuing collaborations with his local and international colleagues for the further development and promotion of the family medicine specialty in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
