🌱Eco-Friendly Conference Guide to WONCA-APR 2026

To our dear delegates, WONCA 2026 is committed to promoting sustainable, green, and environmentally responsible practices throughout the conference. We invite you to partner with us in reducing our environmental footprint through the following measures:

💧 Reducing Single-Use Plastics

  • To minimize plastic waste, refillable water stations will be available in accessible areas throughout the venue.
  • Hydration stations are installed at:

    o Plenary halls

    o Breakout rooms

    o Poster presentation areas

  • We kindly encourage all delegates to bring their own reusable tumblers or water bottles.

📱 Paperless Conference

  • In line with our eco-friendly goals, the conference program and materials will be provided in digital format only.
  • These may be conveniently accessed online via the official WONCA-APR 2026 platforms.

🍽Sustainable & Inclusive Catering

  • Meals will prioritize plant-based menu options, with seafood and chicken offered as lower-carbon alternatives to red meat.
  • Halal food options will be available for our Muslim brothers and sisters, with clear “HALAL” labels displayed on food trays and warmers.
  • For the safety and convenience of delegates with food allergies, allergen labels will be clearly posted on food items, indicating the presence of:

    o Nuts

    o Seafood

    o Eggs

    o Garlic

    o and other common allergens

🌏Your Role Matters

Your small actions—bringing a tumbler, choosing sustainable meals, and going digital—make a big difference. Together, let us make WONCA-APR 2026 a greener, safer, and more inclusive conference.
