Prof. Eva Irene Y. Maglonzo is an epitome of a transformative educator. Her contributions are woven in a fabric of roles she has played in the university, community and society culminating to being an awardee in medical education and research.

She is the Pedagogical Lead and Chair of the Curriculum Committee of the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery (UST FMS) who has capacitated faculty in curriculum enhancement, global standards integration, and trends in medical education.

She was one of the strategic anchor focused on the area of curriculum in the UST FMS high-stakes PAASCU, AUN, and CHED Center of Excellence accreditations.

A committed mentor, she bridges academic theory and community practice through service-learning and research supervision. As Chair of the Task Force in Mentoring the enhanced UST Med Lumina was launched.

She is a cross-platform researcher whose work spans peer-reviewed journals both international and national publications, clinical guidelines, academic textbook, creative digital works and articles in magazines for public engagement.

A dedicated Family physician, community advocate and leader, she has served as Past President of major professional societies including the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, Philippine College of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Philippine Society of Teachers in Family Medicine and a current member of the World Organization of National Colleges and Association of Family physicians (WONCA) Working Party on Education and Special Interest Group on Aging and Health championing health, wellness, and the rights of older persons. A systems thinker, she advances education, policy, and community well-being through collaborative work.
